Serlachius Art Museum Gosta Proposal by MACA

When seeing from far it looks like classic building but this building has modern design that is combined with the classic idea. It uses natural materials and environment and the location is very strategic although it is little far from the center of the city. The formal and constructive references will come from the environment, native materials, the landscape and the scale of the existing buildings. This building is near the wood and natural river with fresh and no pollution air. The chosen site respects practically all the existing woodland, minimizing the number of trees to be eliminated within the possibilities that allow the construction of a building on this scale and functional complexity. The yard of this location is very wide and green. It will be very shadowy in the hot day since there are many trees. The museum is divided into some parts that are based on the category and class. It also has bright lamps in every room and display. All the time, the atmosphere in the building is very fresh, healthy and comfortable.
