Beauty House in Caledon by Ian MacDonald Architect

Living in the far district does not mean away from comfort. This house will give another feeling inside and outside. The design of this house is based on the concept of natural and cultural values. This house combines the nature and culture to get maximum living place. The house is located at the end of a long lane, with a modest presence from the road. Since this house is far way from the city, it will give comfort and composure. It can fresh the mind and soul when living this house since because this house has natural and fresh wind and environment. A continuous flat roof with a generous canopy is planted with the same grasses as the meadow, further integrating the house with its site. Since this house is surrounded by the grass, this house keeps warm in the winter and keeps cool in the summer. The grass around the house can minimize the pollution and give fresh atmosphere. The natural materials of this house also give positive effect to the atmosphere in the house.
